With the school year now officially over, the Achieve Twin Cities team is working hard over the summer to continue providing FAFSA completion support for Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) and Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) graduates who are planning for postsecondary education options this fall.
Achieve career and college readiness coordinators Tina Kue (from MPS North Community High School) and Colin Peters (from SPPS Washington Technology Magnet School) are offering focused FAFSA support in July and August, including FAFSA workshops, one-on-one advising, resource materials, drop-in FAFSA help sessions and a dedicated hotline for students and families.
MPS and SPPS 2024 graduates and their families can find details about this summer FAFSA support on our Achieve Twin Cities FAFSA help website or contact our specialists at FAFSAHelp@achievetwincities.org.
Achieve is providing this critical summer service thanks to financial support from the Minnesota Office of Higher Education and the U.S. Department of Education’s FAFSA Student Support Strategy. Completion rates dropped significantly this year due to challenges and delays with the new FAFSA form, which will have a dramatic impact on the number of students who can enroll in college and other postsecondary education this coming year.
