Amanda Justen, one of our career and college readiness managers, recently joined two other experts on Minnesota Public Radios's News with Angela Davis, where she shared her insights and expertise on preparing high school students for careers and postsecondary education. Amanda worked directly with hundreds of students as an Achieve Career & College Center coordinator at Roosevelt High School for six years - providing personalized guidance and support in exploring and planning their career pathways -- and now manages our career and college readiness program strategy in Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS), as well as our work in MPS Contract Alternative Schools.
Other guests included MPR senior economics contributor Chris Farrell, who shared data on youth employment in the context of our current labor shortage, and Elena Foshay, director of workforce development for the city of Duluth, who addressed youth career and workforce trends in Duluth.
