Janelle (she/her/hers) brings extensive experience in working with youth and families in mental health, education, foster care and community settings.  She is passionate about creating equity and is committed to a lifelong journey of anti-racist work.

Most recently, Janelle worked at Youthprise, supporting families as they accessed a tax credit to pay for out of school time educational enrichment activities for their students. She is excited to join the Achieve Step Up team to help expand access to career and college opportunities to youth in Minneapolis. 

Janelle earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Bethel University in Saint Paul and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois – Chicago. She lives with her husband and daughter in South Minneapolis. Outside of work she enjoys reading, yoga fitness classes, cooking and tasting new foods.
