Katie (she/hers) is passionate about community-centered work, amplifying youth voice and enhancing equitable opportunities.
A licensed social worker, she began her career at Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center in Saint Paul as a career counselor, where she assisted students with high school diploma / GED completion, trade certifications, college applications and career exploration. From there, she continued her youth-focused work at Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities, supporting youth mentorships in the community by amplifying youth voice and restorative justice. Katie has also served as a financial aid counselor at Augsburg University.
Katie is a 2019 graduate of University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a bachelor's degree in social work and minor in psychology. She is thrilled to bring her experience to Central High School and ignite students’ potential as they create the pathway for their futures.
In her free time, Katie enjoys hiking with her dog, Maggie, playing volleyball on her recreational team and any opportunity to get crafty.
