Kendra (she/her/hers) brings extensive experience working in education non-profit organizations to create partnerships between schools, non-profit services and community organizations and businesses. She has seen first-hand the opportunities that can be created by connecting community resources with the rising talent in our public schools, and she is particularly committed to working to address long-entrenched racial and economic inequities in education.
Before joining Achieve Twin Cities, Kendra worked with Citizen Schools, an education nonprofit that focuses on career and college pathway access for middle school students through community-led apprenticeships. She served most recently as the managing director of programs in Boston, overseeing a team of direct service staff and AmeriCorps service members, program strategy and evaluation and district and school partnerships.
Kendra has a bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College and a master of education from Lesley University in Boston. When not at work, Kendra enjoys exploring the Twin Cities’ parks and green spaces with her three young children, husband and elderly white shepherd.
