Bernetta Schadewald headshot

Bernetta is a life-long learner who brings extensive professional experience in leadership and project management, health and wellness, and personal training and group fitness. She loves to utilize her talents and experience for meaningful, purposeful work and advocates for inclusiveness, full access to resources and sustaining the planet for all living beings.

Bernetta attended the University of Oregon, where she earned her B.A. in exercise physiology with a dance minor, and her M.S. in athletic training and sports medicine. As a student, she was co-director of the Native American Student Union.

An enrolled member of the Brothertown Indian Nation and mother of three, Bernetta has served as a community resource and member of the American Indian Parent Committee for the Eden Prairie School District, and is a former PTO co-president and environmental education coordinator for Forest Hills Elementary School.

Bernetta loves to get outside and move every day. Nature and wildlife fill her cup, and music, dance and comedy bring her joy. Bernetta and her husband enjoy travel, especially when it includes family, hiking and ocean beaches.
