EDTalks

After 12 successful seasons, EDTalks will be on hiatus for the 2024-25 school year

EDTalks is taking a break!

After 12 successful seasons, EDTalks is taking a pause and will not be hosting a regular season during the 2024-25 academic year.

We'll be using this break to create space to step back and explore the kinds of topics, presenters, formats and experiences that would be of greatest interest and usefulness for our community today.

Stay tuned for more details, and during this hiatus, we encourage you to revisit and share our remarkable collection of 12 years of EDTalks videos, which can be found below. For more information, reach out to us at events@achievetwincities.org

A brief EDTalks history

EDTalks was launched in fall 2012 at Honey on north Hennepin Avenue. This new series was created to provide a fresh approach to engaging young professional audiences on issues impacting public education and students. After convening at a variety of venues, EDTalks made its home at Icehouse Minneapolis in April 2015. Over its 12 seasons, EDTalks hosted over 60 events with 150+ presenters, and its videos and podcasts have been enjoyed by thousands around the world.

We're thankful for EDTalks' dedicated funding partners, including Graves Ventures, the Bush Foundation and the Verne C. Johnson Family Foundation, and program partners Grave Ventures, Citizens League, Pollen Midwest, TPT – Twin Cities PBS, Indigo Education, Minneapolis Regional Chamber Emerging Leaders and Twin Cities Young Education Professionals. Each played a significant role in shaping and supporting EDTalks during its many seasons.
